The monograph reveals the specifi cs of Russian classical literature in its two most signifi cant periods (the golden and silver Ages), presents the methodological concept of the literature course from the Silver Age to modernism. The methods and techniques of organizing the intra-cultural dialogue of classics and modernity in the teaching of literature, including using Internet technologies, are substantiated. Special attention is paid to the history and methodology of studying classics in the Russian school, translation discourse for the organization of intercultural dialogue and understanding of the world signifi cance of works of Russian classics, biographical prose and modern literature. The monograph concludes with an analysis of modern theatrical interpretations and fi lm adaptations of classical works.
