Nizami Gyandzhavi: volshebnik slova

V Rossijskoj nacional′noj biblioteki chranyatsya 24 rukopisnye kopii proizvedenij zhivshego v Gyandzhe (Azerbajdzhan) persoyazychnogo poeta Iljasa Nizami (ok. 1141-ok. 1209). Miniatyury raznych shkol i obshhij dekor rukopisej predstavlyayut soboj znachitel′nuyu chudozhestvennuyu i kul′turnuyu cennost′, a istoriya postupleniya knig otrazhaet istoriyu vzaimootnoshenij Rossii s Iranom i gosudarstvami Srednej Azii. Predlagaemoe vnimaniyu chitatelej izdanie daet predstavlenie i o syuzhetach poem «Pyatericy» Nizami, i ob iskusstve knigi XIV-XVIII vv. Twenty-four handwritten copies of the works by Nizami (ca. 1141-ca. 1209), the Persian speaking poet from Ganja (Azerbaijan), are preserved at the National Library of Russia. Miniatures from different schools of painting, as well as general decoration and illumination, are of significant artistic and cultural value, while the history of these books’ acquisition by the Library reflects the history of Russia’s relations with Iran and Central Asian states. The album will inform the audience both about the contents of the poems from Nizami’s ‘Quintet’ and about the arts of the book in the 14th -18th centuries.
