Ce vydannja je peršym ukraïns′kym perekladom anhlomovnoï praci vydatnoho ukraïns′koho naukovcja ta muzejnyka Mykoly Fedotovyča Biljašivskoho (1867–1926), ščo vyjšla v Londoni 1912 roku u vydavnyctvi časopysu «The Studio». Knyhu dopovneno unikal′nymy svitlynamy etnohrafičnoho charakteru kin. XIX – poč. CHCH st. z kolekciï Nacional′noho chudožn′oho muzeju Ukraïny (DAF NCHMU, f. 33). Vydannja pryuročeno 155-littju vid dnja narodžennja M. F. Biljašivs′koho. This edition is the first Ukrainian translation of the English study by the famous Ukrainian scientist and museum worker Mykola Biliashivskyi (1867–1926), which was originally published by The Studio art journal in London in 1912. The book is supplemented by exclusive ethnographic photographs of the late 19th and early 20th century from the collection of the National Art Museum of Ukraine (fund no. 33). The edition is dedicated to Mykola Biliashivskyi’s 155th birth anniversary.
